Barker Associates is an award winning multi-disciplinary property consultancy offering Architecture, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering and Building Surveying services to a wide variety of clients in the UK.


Due to our continued success and growing business demands, we currently have a vacancy open for a full time
Secretary.

This individual will support our vibrant and growing Design Team with Administration and Document Controlling duties.


Key Accountabilities

  • Support colleagues with clerical and administrative tasks in order to optimize workflow procedures.
  • To assist with the smooth day to day operation of the office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertakeoccasional receptionist duties where required.
  • Meet and greet of all visitors in a professional manner.
  • Answer telephone calls and redirect where necessary.
  • Responsible for receipt & distribution of post together with external enquiries.
  • Typing general correspondence to include letters, invoices, reports, surveys.
  • Organise small internal events and servicing all internal meetings.
  • Book accommodation and make travel arrangements.
  • Control internal stationery stock and reordering competitively priced office supplies.
  • Maintain filing systems & archiving.
  • Utilise Deltek and other companywide systems for storing project, client information and personal data to an accurate level.
  • Subject to business requirements, flexibility to perform any other duties at the same level of accountabilities and responsibilities.

Specialist Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Flexible and adaptable to meet changes in business needs on a daily basis.
  • Positive customer service abilities.
  • At least two years relevant secretarial experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Hours:
Monday-Friday 8:30am - 5pm


Holiday: 25 Days + Bank Holidays

Salary:
£20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
