Hybrid - London/ Remote

37.5 hours per week

Benefits: 25 days holiday + bank holidays, pension contribution
You will support the Compliance team in ensuring that all external regulatory and internal policy requirements are met.

You will also assist in ensuring that a high level of data protection and quality is provided within a digital health service setting.


Key Responsibilities

Compliance & Quality:


  • Support management in ensuring that the organisation is consistently meeting the highest standards of care and compliance in accordance with statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Encourage the recognition and sharing of good practice of compliance across the organisation
  • Support the Compliance Team to ensure that compliance is evidenced through robust measures of assurance
  • Assist in regulatory inspections and evidence submissions
  • Ensure that policies are reviewed and kept up to date
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and mandatory training
  • Ensure root cause analyses are completed by stakeholders
  • Keep up to date with Digital healthcare regulations
  • Coordinating, managing, and minuting key meetings
  • Work with other audit and compliance staff to conduct audits and reviews

Data Protection:


  • Support the completion and submission of the annual Data Security and Protection Toolkit
  • Work closely with IT and others to ensure the most effective ways of managing the company's personal data responsibilities
  • Assist team in identifying priorities for improvement relating to data protection & healthcare regulation
  • Keep up to date with changes in Data Protection law and regulations
  • Maintain appropriate documentation to support GDPR/DPA Compliance monitoring, including appropriate registers (e.g., risks, incidents), policies, processes, etc.
  • Document, monitor and maintain the legal basis for processing data including maintaining a map of the personal data movement (or Record of Processing Activities)
  • Supporting the Data Protection Lead with the investigation and reporting of data breaches
  • Provide data protection knowledge across new project launches
  • Supporting the Data Protection Lead in the development of staff training mechanisms (elearning, webinars, etc) and maintenance of training records
  • Monitor and respond to external data protection queries liaising with Data protection Leads on issues or queries that arise
  • Actioning and supporting the implementation of privacy by design
  • Keeping Data Protection employee facing SharePoint up to date with revised policies and advice documentation and assisting with staff awareness activities and training

Experience

Essential:


  • Experience in a support or equivalent role
  • Must be a team player but able to work independently
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • PC Literate, especially with MS Office
  • A clear commitment to providing excellent patient care
  • Demonstrable ability to summarise information both orally and in writing
  • Excellent communication skills, time management and ability to work well under pressure
  • Enthusiastic and motivated to learn

Desirable:


  • It is not essential to have worked in a Compliance post, but the post holder must have a good understanding of legislation (Knowledge of Data Protection Act / GDPR)
  • Experience of conducting audits, drafting/updating documentation related to the GDPR/DPA, and implementing privacy / Data Protection Compliance programmes
  • Knowledge and experience in General Practice or other healthcare setting, compliance, quality management, healthcare regulation (CQC)

£24,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
