REED Engineering & Manufacturing are working with a leading Engineering & Manufacturing Company.

Toolmaker

Overall Goal:
To ensure that all work procedures are adhered to in a safe manner whilst maintaining a high quality of
work, working towards set deadlines and targets in the most efficient and productive way.

General Responsibilities

Key tasks:

  • To make and refurbish tools
  • To operate machinery to gain the highest utilisation
  • To perform any machining operations when required
  • To advise on improvements in all tooling aspects and processes to gain higher utilisation
  • To ensure high safety standards are being practiced in the section
  • To maintain a clean and tidy section
  • To be responsible for own quality and adhere to the Company's quality policy
  • To service all production departments when required, ensuring a maximum efficiency
  • To advise the Managers/Supervisor of any problems which arise, or are likely to arise
  • All working procedures must be adhered to
  • To work as a team member within the company
  • Ability to identify hazards
