About the role
Balfour Beatty VINCI is recruiting for a Utilities Coordinator to work on our prestigious infrastructure project delivering HS2.

Working from our Birmingham site the Utilities Coordinator will be responsible for managing the diversion of utilities across the Sub Lot 4 sites.


What you'll be doing

  • Interact with utility service owners and senior site management regarding utilities
  • Manage the trial hole investigations to locate unknown utilities.

Drive the process from the initialcontact to the potential utility owners to the location of these services and the creation and updating of the permit to dig drawings.


  • Produce stats removal/decommissioning plan to maximiseeffectiveness of trial holes and minimise working in the vicinity oflive services.
  • Provide accurate As-Built information to assist the Maintenance Provider of the Network to minimise service strikes during the future maintenance of the scheme.
  • Liaise with stats bodies regarding timely completion for diverting existing apparatus;
  • Liaise with relevant teams to ensure stats are removed/diverted outside of work areas.
  • Collect and forward all survey information relevant to stats diversions and drainage installations to enable the update and review of stats drawings

Who we're looking for

  • Previous experience gained in a similar role coordinating utilities, ideally on a major infrastructure project
  • Knowledge of the construction process in at least one of the following areas: Earthworks/Drainage, Pavement, Comms, Structures, Roadworks.
  • NRSWA Supervisor accreditation is desirable

  • 42 viaducts totaling over 11km, 66 over-bridges;
  • More than 35 cuttings reaching over 30km;
  • 56 culverts and other underbridges;
  • 66 embankments reaching over 33km;
  • Building four motorway crossings requiring box structures and six interfaces with the existing rail requiring both diveunder and overbridge structures.
