Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Strategist to join our team in London.

Versatility is key to the success of this role, as this individual will lead client work and contribute consistently to business development on behalf of the studio at the broader firm.

Specifically, this individual will facilitate user engagements, develop strategic guidelines and recommendations, generate space budgets, administer and synthesize workplace surveys, and manage a variety of change management programs.

A majority of Ark's work is embedded within the interior design and architectural practice of HLW's broader design practice. However, the remainder represents standalone consulting work executed independently by our studio.

In addition to our projects, a Senior Strategist is asked to contribute to a variety of internal efforts and initiatives that advance Ark's position as an evidence-based practice and help us evolve in service of our clients.

Reporting Structure
This position will report to the Managing Director of Ark. Over time, an alternative reporting structure may be determined based on current studio structure or project workload.

Beyond our global studio, you will also have the chance to work closely with a broader team of designers in HLW's London office and beyond.

Responsibilities:

General Knowledge & Understanding

Serve as a member of the global Ark team who contributes to various internal initiatives that advance the team's business goals and objectives
Establish yourself as an expert in a niche or special capability that adds value to client projects or the firm's broader goals and initiatives; expertise may include topics in workplace strategy, organizational change management or design, graphic representation, or business visioning and innovation

Project Related

All Phases
Conceive and manage key project tasks, and lead the development of project deliverables
Manage the daytoday client relationship in delivering engagements such as visioning and workshops, human centric interviews, workplace surveys or other analytical exercises, development of space programming, strategic briefing
Liaison with HLW project designers and architects around strategic recommendations and subsequent phases of project scope
Help ensure project profitability by participating in discussions with project leads/managers and other team members to ensure that labor efforts are aligned with billing and revenue projections

Leadership & Organizational

Assist in Ark's longterm business planning as requested
Actively contribute to the advancement of studio initiatives and goals
Consistently mentor junior staff in technical methods, industry knowledge, and delivery best practices

Business Development & Marketing

Participate on project pitch teams, including assistance in the development of scope, fee, and work management plans
Help develop presentation content, marketing collateral, trend reports, and other related materials that support Ark's marketing and business development efforts
Advance studio thought leadership through published work or independent research; remain active in local industry (i.e. panels, conferences, events, etc.)
Participate in speaking engagements through industry societies and affiliations, as appropriate

Role Qualifications

Between 5 and 10 years of professional experience in architecture, design, workplace strategy, research, or related disciplines; at least 35 years within a workplace strategy practice strongly preferred
Entrepreneurial spirit ability to operate autonomously and generate proactive solutions to client concerns and studio objectives
A sense of professionalism and positive work ethic that contributes to a thriving Ark team and the broader success of HLW
Ability to juggle competing deadlines and prioritize client needs
Excellent communication skills strong graphic, written, and verbal capabilities are a must
Demonstrated proficiency with baseline tools including Adobe CS, MS Office, Google Collaborative Suite as well as Miro
Proficiency with any of the following software is a bonus: AutoCAD / Revit, Alchemer, Mentimeter, AirTable, Tableau, Sprintbase, PowerBI, Adobe Premiere or
