Description

Overview:
Volunteers make an enormous contribution to our work at Change Grow Live.

As an Assertive outreach support volunteer, you will play a pivotal role within the local community promoting our services and engaging with service users/individuals and partner agencies.

Your role will be to support the team to engage and support individuals who are experiencing criminal justice and substance misuse issues.

You will be targeting known locations within the community actively engaging and building a positive relationship with the people who are experiencing these issues.

With this role you'll be working as part of EMORRS team, based at our Broughton Street office.

No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.

Responsibilities:

Making the decision to enter treatment can be an intimidating experience for the people we support. You can make a difference.

As a Volunteer Recovery Worker with Change Grow Live you'll work with people who use our services, helping them get to where they want to be.

We will support you in this volunteering role by ensuring that you receive regular supervision, and have someone on site who you can approach for day-to-day advice and guidance.

In return for the time you give you will receive valuable training and gain experience and skills. You'll be making a real difference too.

This is what one of our service users had to say: _"I like how i was encouraged to make my own decisions and choices for my treatment which helped my confidence and self esteem.

I now volunteer and can help others in return."_

Our values are to be compassionate, open and bold. If this sounds like you we'd love to hear from you so click apply.
