Description
Abatec is seeking a Highways Van Driver to join our team in Gloucester.


In this role, you will work closely in a small team and other stakeholders to perform vital inspection tasks and ensure the smooth operation of the highways.

Your main focus will be on delivering works on the highway safely, efficiently, and in compliance with current legislation and the adopted Permit Scheme.


Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Driving a van from the depot to inspection sites.
  • Assisting with initial inspections for all highwaysrelated issues.
  • Conducting safety and service inspections across the road network and reporting them accurately.
  • Identifying concerns raised by residents and stakeholders within each inspection area.
  • Promoting a safe working environment by adhering to risk assessments and implementing relevant controls for all highway inspections.
Our client is looking for a Trainee Highway driver who possesses the following qualifications:

  • Strong time management skills to adhere to strict inspection schedules.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Driving experience

Additional information:

  • Monday to Friday 7:30am4pm
- £ £12.05 per hour

Holding a valid full UK driver's license is also a requirement, as the role entails driving between inspection sites.


Salary:
£10.76-£12.05 per hour
