The Digital Application Support role will provide support and development of digital systems in use at Velindre University NHS Trust to ensure they meet the clinical, operational, regulatory and strategic requirements of the organisation.

The post holder will provide specialist advice, support and training to various staff groups across the organisation. In addition, the post holder will develop and interpret business reports using a variety of information reporting tools.

  • Configure digital solutions to support operational systems and to support the delivery of user requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to use digital systems to deliver service improvement and propose changes to practices and procedures.
  • Provide specialist advice, support and training to various staff groups across the organisation as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Participate in a second line support service, troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve problems or refer to the system supplier.
  • Identify data quality issues and the delivery of additional training to support improved data quality.
  • Generate and execute test scripts and record test findings using the appropriate test documentation.
  • Participate in an out of hours (oncall) support service as part of a team rota.
Full training on all relevant digital systems will be provided to the post holder.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
