Compliance Officer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Compliance Officer, to join our Technical Team, here at Yorkshire Baker.

The main purpose of this role is to ensure that factory practices relating to Food Safety & Product Quality comply to the site's FSQMS.

To maintain the calibration and validation programmes relating to the HACCP plan. To propose improvements to the FSQMS to maintain compliance to customer COPS whilst improving standards at site level.

This is an entry level role and would suit someone who has QA experience and wanting to transition into the technical team or a Technical Assistant wanting to make a move into Compliance.

Main duties include (but not limited to):

To complete effective Process Compliance Audits to an approved written frequency
To raise and implement corrective actions following those audits
To product risk assessed justification for change and to successfully manage that change
To update factory procedures and Work Instructions as required
Drive improvements to standards through risk assessed rewrites of the FSQMS and positive improvements to the Food safety culture on site
To understand and adhere to the site's document control processes
Manage the site's paperless system (QUOR) to support the company's sustainability programme
Support the wider Technical Team in driving Food Safety & Product Quality standards through the continuous improvement of the site's Food Safety Culture
Understand and control the Process Control element of site Traceability
To deputise for Factory Technical Manager during External audits as required
To carry out any other reasonable request by the Site Technical Manager
Strong communicator at all levels
Auditing experience, ideally within a FMCG environment
Level 2 Health & Safety Awareness
Understanding of risk assessments & trained as competent to safe working proceedures
Level 3 Food Safety
Level 3 HACCP
Understanding and experience of identifying hazards and near miss reporting

£30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
