The Head of Elective Recovery plays an essential part in the recovery of elective services, supporting the Associate Director of Operations - Planned Care, you will develop operational plans with divisional and corporate colleagues that ensure delivery of high-quality, timely and cost-effective services that are innovative and responsive to the needs of the Patients of SFHFT.


The role has a large portfolio that includes:

  • Leading large pieces of work relating to the recovery of elective services
- creation and monitoring of trust wide elective recovery plans, with particular focus on Cancer and Diagnostics,

  • Support divisions in the delivery of largescale change processes relating to the elective pathway
  • Take a lead role in the creation of trust wide elective productivity plans, including theatre and outpatient productivity
  • Work with colleagues across the trust to ensure information for the trusts annual planning process is accurate and presented in the best format
  • Facilitation of workshops and development sessions relating to elective recovery
  • Contribute to the development of elective services capital bids
  • Represent SFH at System/Regional/National forums as required
  • Deputise for the Associate Director of Operations
  • Planned Care as required agreed aspects of elective recovery
The Head of Elective Recovery will support specific areas of elective recovery and transformation including the following areas:

  • Facilitate the creation and monitoring of trust wide elective recovery plans, with particular focus on Cancer and Diagnostics
  • Support divisions in the delivery of largescale change processes relating to the elective pathway
  • Take a lead role in the creation of trust wide elective productivity plans, including theatre and outpatient productivity
  • Line management of the Cancer Centre Lead
  • Work with colleagues across the trust to ensure information for the trusts annual planning process is accurate and presented in the best format
  • Facilitation of workshops and development sessions relating to elective recovery
  • Contribute to the development of elective services capital bids
  • Represent SFH at System/Regional/National forums as required
  • Deputise for the Associate Director of Operations
  • Planned Care as required agreed aspects of elective recovery
