The Role


Funeral Arrangers deal with our clients during one of the most emotional times of their lives, and this requires an exceptional degree of skill and empathy.

A Funeral Arranger deals with all aspects of funeral arranging from the very first call through to the day of the funeral.

This role requires flawless interpersonal skills, a willingness to learn about cremation, burial, and church procedures, and an impeccable eye for detail and planning.


Key Responsibilities

  • Meeting bereaved families to arrange funeral services.
  • Assisting with the telephone rota (currently one week a month) to care for our clients 24 hours a day. (This will involve a share of Christmas and other public holidays).
  • Ensuring good relationships with the local community and wider business community.
  • Frequently communicate with colleagues, clients and others involved in delivering the funeral.
  • Ensuring that the necessary paperwork to allow a funeral service to proceed is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that our offices are kept in a neat and tidy order.

  • Sensitive, kind, calm and practical.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Highly organised with a good attention to detail and logístical planning.
  • A confident and friendly communicator.
  • Willing to work flexibly, occasionally starting early or working late or over the weekend as necessary.
  • Smart appearance.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£25,415.00 per year


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
