We connect the dots across functions through the Business Planning process, focusing on People, Service, Cost and Cash.

The Planning department plays a critical role in the journey to transform the overall Supply Chain into a competitive advantage.


Job Description:


The Opportunity:


Together with the Associate Manager, Demand Planning and Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for driving the monthly S&OP process for Amazon Europe, with the right Demand Plan in a timely manner as an output.

You will submit the signed off Demand into the system on a monthly basis and through the right demand, supply and inventory, manage the business' revenue, profit and cash.


What Your Impact Will Be:


  • Prepare and run the local S&OP process with the Sales & Marketing teams following the monthly cadence
  • Prepare and execute the monthly Demand Submission in line with the signedoff forecast
  • Be the primary point of contact for Sales & Marketing with regards to Planning and Forecasting
  • Synchronize commercial plans with demand plans
  • Proactively identifying constraints and challenges and developing solutions to mitigate impacts all the while keeping internal customers clearly informed of developments
  • Work with Sales and Marketing to fully understand Sales Forecast, risks and opportunities
  • Provide and analyse monthly metrics reporting on forecast changes, rejections, forecast accuracy, bias
  • Manage Inventory (Levels and health), and align coverage with with business targets
  • Develop reporting tools to improve the planning processes and support business decisions
  • Maximize customer fill rates and minimize Excess Inventory risk
  • Meet deadlines based on global and regional calendars
  • Proactively identifying constraints and challenges and developing solutions to mitigate impacts all the while keeping internal customers clearly informed of developments

Qualifications:


What We're Looking For:


  • 2+ years in a supply chain planning role
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply-Chain or Logistics
  • Fluent in English, additional languages would be beneficial
  • Confident and skilled communicator both verbally and written, including meeting facilitation and presentations
  • Ability to influence and achieve expected results independently by establishing effective crossfunctional & crossculture relationships
  • High level of organizational and time management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, Powerpoint
  • Knowledge of JDA (Blue Yonder), AS400 and/or Cognos would be a plus
  • Exceptional problem solving & analytical ability
  • Ability to perform in a demanding ,dynamic, highly visible organisation
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically with other cultures and people

Special certification or technical skills:

  • APICS certification or equivalent a plus
