We work closely with a mix of Children and Adults with the aim to help guests where possible with their welfare by aiding in whatever way we can, in line with our and our clients policies.


This an opportunity for you to contribute by bring significant safeguarding experience and in-depth knowledge of welfare of staff, young people and Adults.


You will aid guests in making their stay with us as pleasant as possible, aiding them in ways where others may not, for example by making referrals to charities for different conditions based of the traumas some of our guests may have had.

Signposting guests and liaising with local stakeholders as well as the Central Office to help the guest's welfare.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that the designated patch of sites provided by Management are visited in a timely manner
  • Recording concerns/queries internally as and when they are received in an efficient manner. Sharing these concerns both internally and externally where necessary ahead of and after visits.
  • Liaising with various stakeholders such as the local charities and more to aid with the guests stay and welfare
  • Liaising with health practitioners to aid in the guests stay and welfare
  • Summarise and log all concerns effectively updating the Safeguarding log daily following each visit to guests ensuring all conversations are logged and stored safely
  • Inputting in daily meetings with other Safeguarding colleagues to give regular updates to the team leader to aid with weekly meetings with Management
  • Ensuring all Safeguarding contacts such as the DSL and the Clients Safeguarding Officers are stored and shared accordingly with relevant people within the organisations as well as outside of the organisation
  • Instigate, track, follow up and log contacts with other agencies, including clients DSL as well as other charities.
  • Ensure that referrals are chased up to the client to aid in the welfare of the guest
  • Report major concerns and concerns raised by guests/staff directly to Internal Management and relevant departments if can be solved internally
  • Report major concerns and concerns raised by guests/staff directly to the clients safeguarding team to aid with correct referrals being made
  • Provide advise to sites and staff when an incident occurs, following an incident report being raised
  • Monitoring and maintaining databases for sites, staff, contacts, and designated patches
  • Providing support to staff and site managers with queries raised by the onsite teams
  • Out of patch visits to sites which may not be included in the designated locations, but will need to be done due to the business needs
  • Weekly meetings with the Safeguarding team to provide updates on cases
Co-ordinating responses and investigations to queries and concerns raised by the client or line Management:

  • Maintain accurate records and provide timely responses to the clients as well as line management
  • Respond to Home Office/Clients queries when directed by line management

Necessary Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience of safeguarding principles/policies and effective practice
  • Previous experience of working with Adults and Children in a social environment
  • Computer literate with knowledge of all Microsoft Office products

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£30,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
