Due to continues growth, we are looking to recruit the following position:
Care support worker, full time and part time positions available.

Experience is not essential as full training will be provided with the opportunities to progress through the NVQ levels 2,3,4 and 5.


Our staff are encouraged to help our service users in their everyday life and any tasks that maintains their dignity and independence.

Whether it's just making a cup of tea, helping them with food preparation or even personal cares.

The exact details for this description will vary depending on the service users' needs.

No day is the same, and no service user is the same. We will support you in achieving your goals with each service user.

Everything is person centred care and our service users rely on us to preserve their way of life and principles.


Staff will not work unsupervised until full induction has been completed and you will be supported all the way throughout your career with us.


We have service users in and around the Filey area and our mission is to expand to areas further afield.


This is not just a job, this is a vocation, and with that in mind we support you in any training you require.


Main aims of the job:


  • Visit service users in their own homes to provide any cares needed
  • Maintain paperwork necessary to complete cares, care plans, correspondence
  • Assist with all aspects of care which includes, washing, dressing, food preparation, cleaning, making drinks, helping the service user use the toilet
  • Support the service user with medications and topical creams
  • Support the service user with any activities or social needs
  • To promote the service we provide along with our policies of Caring, Integrity, Together, Quality and Creativity
  • To report any safeguarding issues that may arise
  • To observe and document any other health professional input

Health and Safety

  • To report to management any issues or concerns raised due to hazards and risks observed
  • To operate, maintain and implement safe systems of work in accordance with Happy 2 Help Community Care policies and procedures

Person Specification:


Essential

Desirable:

Health and Social Care level 2/3 NVQ or Health and Social Care level 2/3 diploma

A full driving license with access to own vehicle


Experience:

A caring individual who is compassionate about providing support and caring for vulnerable adults

Experience of providing care for others

Experience of caring for vulnerable adults


Qualifications:

Commitment to undertake Health and Social Care level 2 NVQ within 2 years of employment


Skills and Abilities:

Ability to develop good working conditions with service users and their families whilst maintaining professional and appropriate personal boundaries

Ability to work independently and take initiative within the boundaries of H2H policies and procedures

Ability to demonstrate good written and verbal skills

To show trust and reliability whilst lone working with vulnerable adults

To be honest and transparent and have the ability to own up to mistakes


Knowledge:

Understanding the importance of confidentiality

Understanding the needs of the service users and their families


Other:

To be committed to the safeguarding of vulnerable adults

Ability to work in the area needed and in a cost effective and efficient manner.

Applicants must be willing to undergo a screening and barring service check appropriate to the post, this will include reference requests from your most recent employer

40p per mile when using own vehicle. Class 1 business license required.

COVID-19 considerations:
Care staff to follow infection control, ensure all areas are cleaned to a high standard including door handles. All care staff to wear correct PPE and masks where applicable. Our care staff take rapid lateral flow tests every other day of working.
