The Role

  • Leading and supervising your shift and promote good working relations between staff, residents and outside agencies.
  • Work in partnership with the management team to ensure the smooth running of our home
  • Case managing residents and liaising with families, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to ensure inclusive and quality care planning.
  • Assessing the needs of our residents and identify any problems and find appropriate solutions and undertake individual risk assessments
  • Contribute to inspections either planned or unplanned
  • Provide a supportive and empathetic lead for staff and residents and their families
  • Work alongside care assistants to support residents with daily needs, ensuring residents remain as active and independent as possible
  • Administer, record and order medication and liaise with our nominated pharmacist
  • On call duties as required

About You

  • Experience of leading a team in a care
  • A committed and organised approach
  • A confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills

Additional experience desirable for this role:

  • NVQ level 3 in health and social care (essential)
  • Be well organised, IT literate and be skilled at allocating and delegating work appropriately (essential)
  • Have experience of assisting with inspections from the Care Quality Commission and other agencies (desirable)

Pay:
£29,000.00 per year
