Do you want to make a real difference in driving the sustainability of major development projects, contributing to the transition to a zero carbon, climate resilient, resource efficient, environmentally restorative and socio-economically resilient future? We are looking to recruit an Associate / Principal level consultant with strong experience, knowledge and expertise in carbon management to join our sustainability and carbon team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Line management of a skilled team, providing support and growth.
  • Provide technical direction and leadership across a portfolio of projects regarding whole life carbon, covering a potentially wide range of sectors (e.g. energy, transport, water, waste).
  • Lead in development of carbon management and PAS 2080 for clients.
  • Lead business development, market research, bid preparation and work winning in the above areas.

Requirements:


  • You will possess strong sustainability/carbon related expertise, a wide range of skill sets and a willingness to become involved in a broad selection of projects.
  • Strong analytical and strategic, holistic thinking skills & ability to engage and enthuse staff and clients & skilled at collaborative working with a range of technical specialists at different levels.
  • Experience of UK sustainability and environmental regulations, guidance and standards. Knowledge of international regulatory frameworks, guidance and standards would be an advantage.
  • Excellent verbal communicator with the ability to present with confidence to a wide range of audiences and communicate technical concepts simply and clearly & excellent writing skills clarity in technical writing is key. Able to adapt writing style to produce documents for different types of audience, including nonspecialists.
