Jubilee House is a charity that supports over 140 children and adults with learning disabilities. We empower people to live as independently as possible.

We have a great reputation for providing individually tailored care and support through a wide range of services, making us a unique organisation within Hertfordshire and further afield.

To support our strategic changes, we are looking to recruit a suitably experienced professional to lead our financial management and to support the delivery of our growth plans.

Key tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the strategic financial management and financial strategy of the organisation
• Providing accurate and timely financial information and analysis to the CEO, Trustees and wider team
• Overseeing the financial function, ensuring that sound protocols and robust controls are embedded within the Charity
• Continuously improving the financial processes and reporting to deliver efficiencies and opportunities
• Preparing statutory accounts and maintaining contact with the auditors
• Preparing the annual budget and forecasts to contribute to the charity's strategic plan
• Developing financial policies, procedures, systems and ensuring legislative compliance
• Providing support to the Management team on financial matters
• Advising the CEO, Treasurer and Finance Committee in relation to financial risk management
• Taking the lead on Governance issues for the charity

Beyond the professional skills above, we are looking for someone who can fit within our friendly and emotionally intelligent team.

Although we are a Charity first and foremost, we are led by people with commercial experience and need someone who understands commerce, investments and financial controls.

This position is eligible for our company pension scheme - at 7.5% contribution value

This role is based in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire but remote working options are available on an ad hoc basis

Salary:
Up to £56,000.00 per year
