The Role


At Plexus Freight we offer a complete logistics package to our customers including Road, Sea, Multi-Modal, Air and express freight services with a specific focus on client relationships and a work life balance for our staff.


Reporting to the directors, the role available will be for a Freight Administrator / Freight Clerk to assist the business and help run with the day-to-day freight forwarding operations.


The role is office based in Portishead, Bristol and will be office based, however there will be an opportunity to work remotely ad hoc when training is complete and probation in successfully completed.

This role is available starting from early Jan 2024


A competitive salary of between £24,000 to £28,000pa, dependent upon experience, is available and the chance to join a friendly and sociable team.

The role currently will involve but is not limited to:

  • Responding to quote requests in a timely manner
  • Processing and costing quotes
  • Maintaining and managing freight software and CRM
  • Supporting the freight account managers in their day to day work
  • Plan transports, owing the whole process from quoting through to delivery
  • Processing customs entries and handling entries from start to finish (training provided)
  • Answering incoming calls and taking messages for the relevant team members

Key Requirements

  • Positive and problem solving approach to work
  • A drive and enthusiasm to make a difference and grow within the business
  • Experience using shipping software or similar CRM
  • Experience in transport related activities or Freight Forwarding is essential.
  • Be able to learn new IT systems quickly and accurately.
  • Be a team player that is focused on delivering the best possible customer experience whilst supporting team members.
  • UK National or right to work in the UK essential, no visa can be offered.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced industry and enjoy a challenge Ability to flourish in a role where no two days being the same.
