A competitive salary of up to £35,000 per annum plus an on-target bonus

Simpson Millar is one of the nation's leading consumer law firms and we are looking for an experienced Litigator to join our EL/PL team on a permanent basis.


This role is on a hybrid working arrangement with up to 2 days per week in either our Leeds, Liverpool, or Manchester.


This is a fee-earning role managing a litigated caseload of employer's and public liability personal injury claims and potentially a limited number of CICA claims from denial to settlement or trial in an established, forward-thinking Legal 500 firm.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Managing a caseload of denied EL PL personal injury claims from denial to settlement or trial
  • Assessing liability and disclosure on denied claims and deciding whether to proceed
  • Accurately identifying risks and referring concerns
  • Obtaining and valuing medical evidence
  • Preparing comprehensive schedules of loss to support the client's claim
  • Handling client discussions regarding valuation report
  • Negotiating with the Defendant's solicitor postissue of Court proceedings


You will need have experience in handling a caseload of Litigated EL/PL files and as well as strong billing record.
