Description

We are looking for experienced, enthusiastic individual to join our Prosthetic Rehab team within the Integrated Therapy Team in Colchester.


This is a small team consists of Physiotherapists and prosthetists providing prosthetic rehab for patients in North East Essex and East Suffolk The team works with adults of all ages and is based on achieving client-centred goals in a time oriented way.

Therefore experience in working with older people and people with physical disabilities is essential.

It will beneficial to have experience working in the community.

Under the direction and of the qualified therapist,.

To independently manage a caseload consisting of one to one outpatient amputees using

Evidence based patient centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.

To be able to rehabilitate patients pre and post limb fitting.

To work with other members of the MDT including Orthotists, Prosthetists, Podiatrists etc.

To use a person-centred approach in the planning, implementation, evaluation and monitoring of agreed interventions following guidelines and protocols.

To be able to lead exercise classes for this patient group.

To work in line with the BACPAR guidance as recommended by NICE.

To be able to set appropriate and realistic goals for this patient group.
