Description
We are actively recruiting a Engineering Manager to join our clients manufacturing site in in West Yorkshire

Main Responsibilities


Management

  • Plan the weekly engineering activities across the sites and support the engineers with any technical problems.
  • Oversee and support the engineers on outage days.
  • Manage the holiday planner and call out rota ensuring.

Budget control

  • Assist with the yearly budgets across the sites.
  • Manage and authorize spend as required in line with the budget forecast.
  • Ensure all stock levels and locations are correct, ensuring the plants never stand due to lack of components.

H&S

  • Ensure the department is compliant with all H&S regulations.
  • Review and control all contractor documents.
  • Review the departments risk assessments and methods statements.

Support and develop.

  • Lead and set standards for the engineering team.
  • Set objectives and appraisals for the maintenance coordinators on the requirements reviewing on a 6 monthly basis.
  • Support the maintenance Coordinators development.

Key Skills and Competencies

  • A good knowledge of industry health and safety standards
  • People Management skills to drive key performance
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability work manage multiple workloads simultaneously and manage stressful situations
  • Demonstrate a relentless desire to improve maintenance management
  • Ability to manage budgets across multiple sites
  • A strong maintenance background with a proven track record delivering programs
  • To be a minimum HND or Equivalent qualified in Mechanical Engineering
  • To have a working knowledge of Maintenance Best Practices
On offer is a salary of up to £50,000 plus Car allowance and fuel card
