Main Purpose
To manage the scheduling and timelines for client specific contracts, this shall include as a minimum bi-weekly meetings with our clients and Puma production teams to ensure all deadlines can be achieved, within this role it will require the individual to liaise with our procurement staff, sub-vendor activities, production team whilst monitoring the manufacturing process for any issues that may arise which in turn may cause slippage to the planned delivery dates.
A close relationship with the estimating department will also be essential for upcoming contracts to strategically plan all emergent fabrication requests from our clients.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Completing delivery schedules for the Engineering department and prioritising contracts with the Operations Director
- Liaise with the Estimating department for contract handovers to fully understand contract requirements including collating & reporting information from the client.
- Monitor material deliveries and communicate with the purchasing and good inwards departments.
- Scheduling shifts and workers to provide the correct coverage for all planned and emergent requirements.
- Produce production schedules and program workshop resource for each contract including sub vendor activities.
- Complete daily progress checks & communicates with workshop supervisors.
- Find ways to improve productivity and reduce costs where possible.
- Liaise and organise subcontract activities required to complete the project including interacting with third party inspectors and clientele.
- Ensure all commercial issues are addressed prior to project completion. i.e. agree and submit client variations to the estimating department.
- Report all relevant contract information to company directors.
