Teacher of Art

Qualiteach is currently working with a PRU that is looking for an experienced Teacher of Art who can join them immediately.

They are looking for someone who has previously worked in a SEMH School, PRU or even in a prison and isn't phased by challenging behaviour.

The ideal Teacher of Art will need to be able to teach the Bronze and Silver Awards and also up to GCSE.

All of the students you will be teaching will have been removed from a mainstream school, therefor you will need to make a conscious effort of making sureyour lessons are fun, engaging and interesting so the students are going to want to take part and attend all of your lessons.

Throughout the day you will have the support from 2 Teaching Assistants who will be there to help you set up your lessons and manageany behaviour that may arise.

PRU
This PRU is found in the London borough of Southwark and is a short walk from London Bridge station.

They currently have 50 students who attend, between the ages of 11-16 years who have been removed from a mainstream school on a temporary or permanent basisand in their last Ofsted in 2019, they were reviewed as 'Good' in all areas.
