St Mark's Church of England Primary School is a thriving, happy, nurturing community of 418 learners. We currently cater for 12 children with EHCPs, with 62 children in receipt of SEND support. We currently support 61 pupils who are identified as Disadvantaged.


We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, effective and experienced practitioner to join our Senior Leadership Team and lead our SEND and Inclusion provision.

Previous leadership and/or SENCO/INCO experience would be advantageous.


We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced practitioner to join our leadership team and lead all aspects of inclusion across the school, modelling exemplary practice to others.


The successful applicant will have a proven track record of successful classroom practice, a commitment to their own professional development, and the skills to promote high standards of achievement and behaviour and wholeheartedly support the school's distinctive Christian ethos, vision and values.


  • Play a key leadership role within the school and be an active, visible presence.
  • Think strategically about needs across the school and match them with interventions, monitoring and the implementation of new effective systems where necessary.
  • Monitor and manage the quality of provision for SEND, Pupil Premium/Disadvantaged children ensuring the rapid and sustained progress of all groups.
  • Read and understand whole school and cohort data to identify trends.
  • Manage themselves in meetings, chairing review meetings as necessary.
  • Be efficient with the paperwork and delegate to, and effectively manage, admin support.
  • Lead and support best practice and if needed to provide training, advice and support to staff that assists teachers in the classroom.
  • Line manage Teaching Assistants.
  • Manage complicated situations.
  • Build positive, effective relationships with parents and other agencies.
  • Act as a deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.
  • Promote and uphold the distinctive Christian ethos of the school.
  • Carry out statutory functions of the role.

The pro rata salary shown is based on the number of hours and weeks worked and includes appropriate paid annual leave and bank holiday entitlements.

The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert.

The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year.


This role is UK based and your Right to Work will need to be established as part of the appointment process.
