The School of Social Sciences and Humanities is an ambitious, expanding, multidisciplinary school within the College of Business and Social Sciences and has an established reputation for excellence in teaching and research.

The School's research priorities are applied in outlook and centre on:
the interplay between technology and society; health and society; power, security, inequalities, and diversity.


The Department of English, Languages and Applied Linguistics is seeking to make a permanent full-time appointment at Lecturer/Senior Lecturer from 1st August 2023.


You should have a completed doctorate in a relevant discipline, a track record of undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching on English
and TESOL programmes and the ability to take on a programme directorship.

You will have the ability to develop your own research agenda in the area of English language/TESOL and to contribute to one of the research centres aligned to the department (Aston Centre for Applied Linguistics and Research Centre for the Humanities).
