Description
We are seeking a cleaner to work term time (38 weeks per year), plus 1 week spread over the school holidays at our small school in Ebrington, GL55 6DB.
Main duties are:
- To be responsible for cleaning certain parts of the school site as allocated by the Head of School or Trust Business Manager (this may vary from time to time).
- To use cleaning materials safely, following the published instructions.
- To vacuum all carpeted areas and to wash or mop wet/tiled areas of the classrooms and in designated areas.
- To sweep all the uncarpeted floors thoroughly.
- To spot clean spillages.
- To dust/wash carefully with clean dusters/cloths, desks, seats, ledges, skirting boards and other places where dust lodges.
- To wash off dirty marks on walls, tiling and mirrors.
- To clean internal glass, internal and external door glass.
- To routinely clean lamp shades and light diffusers.
- To carry out periodic cleaning of all internal surfaces to recommended maximum heights.
- To periodically clean internal windows at ground level to the recommended maximum height.
- To check and close windows, switch off lights after work.
- Report all defects/hazards immediately to the Trust Business Manager or Administrator.
- Carry out such other duties as may be allocated from time to time.
