  • FCIU play an essential role in gathering forensic evidence at KSI collision scenes, before producing expert witness reports providing answers to both courts & families. The role comes with a high degree of training & qualifications.
  • How does the work this team does make a difference
  • FCIs provide expert witness reports to Criminal & Coronial courts as well as to the families of those effected and help those left behind understand the dynamics of the collsion.
  • The purpose of this role
  • To support the existing FCIU Sergeant in managing a number of aspects within the Dept including; staff training & qualifications, welfare management & reviewing of the FCI reports produced for both criminal and coronial cases.

Recruitment and Selection Policy

Police Barred and Advisory lists


Individuals placed on the Police Barred and Advisory lists will not be considered for employment by the police for a minimum of 5 years from the date of listing in the case of gross misconduct, or 3 years from the date of listing in the case of poor performance.
