Cyber Security Engineer


Location:
Nottingham, Nottinghamshire


Salary:
£50,000 - £60,000


The role:


We are looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to join our client, an innovative, market-leading finance organisation based in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire.

This role is responsible for managing, monitoring and improving the organisation's security position. Youwill identify potential threats, conduct security audits and implement security policies and procedures. You will lead security initiatives and ensure the organisation is compliant with applicable laws and regulations.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and manage security policies, procedures and standards (ISO 27001)
  • Monitor and analyse security threats and vulnerabilities (2FA, MFA)
  • Perform security audits and assessments
  • Develop and implement security measures to protect the organisation's data
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Lead security initiatives and projects
  • Troubleshoot security issues

Skills and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in cyber security
  • Knowledge of security principles and practices
  • Knowledge of network technologies, architectures, and protocols
  • Knowledge of security tools and technologies
  • Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
