Ealing Council has published an ambitious Climate and Ecological Emergency Strategy.
Supporting active and sustainable travel is a key goal, and we have manifesto commitments to roll out EV charge points and safe cycle parking across the borough.
To ensure we meet these commitments and provide high-quality green infrastructure, a new role has been created within the Council's award-winning Transport Planning Team.
We are looking for someone organised and self-motivated, with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
You will need to handle a full and varied workload and be results-focused, with strong written and oral communication skills.
You will have a keen interest in sustainability and/or transport. You will have either a relevant degree (environmental studies, transport planning, or a related discipline) or equivalent experience. You will be familiar with good practice in project management.It's an exciting time to join Ealing. We have ambitious plans to tackle the climate crisis, create good jobs, and fight inequality.
We are involved in major transport projects such as High Speed 2, Heathrow Airport surface access, and massive new developments in Old Oak and Southall.
We offer training opportunities and flexible working.This role will work on a hybrid basis with the rest of the Transport Planning Team, with time split between the office in Ealing Broadway and remote working.
