We are currently supporting a pharmaceutical business to recruit a Quality Assurance Officer to join their growing QA department and come into the business at an exciting period as they embark on the next phase of growth.


The business:


The Quality Assurance Officer will be joining a business at the coalface of the industry, playing a hugely important role in the supply of a range of key pharmaceutical products to the market.


The business is embarking on a change programme geared around longer term growth and are looking for individuals who have the ability to play an active role in driving the business forward, with a particular focus in improving the Quality culture withinthe business.


The role:


The Quality Assurance Officer will oversee the quality of all products imported and distribute by the company and ensure adherence to GDP, documented procedures and work instructions.


The Quality Assurance Officer will also be responsible for maintaining databases such as error recording, enquiries, final release, CAPA and QMS.

Some of the key responsibilities for the Quality Assurance Officer will involve the following:


  • Support ongoing preparation for Regulatory Licence approvals
  • Oversee and input to QMS related Change Control, Nonconformance and CAPA activities
  • Develop, Enhance and update the Quality Management System activities associated with the release of product, integrating as appropriate into central activities.
  • Ensure appropriate maintenance of filing of Quality related documents, including Deviations and CAPA's.
  • Maintain all QA databases which include but are not limited to QMS, master list, quality metrics, errors, daily orders, product enquiries and documents.
  • Support in product enquiries ensuring timely responses.
  • Control and maintenance of Quality documentation, including generating, reviewing, issuing SOPs, forms and BMRs.
  • Previous experience working in a Quality Assurance / Compliance role within a pharmaceutical business.
  • A compliance first approach and a custodian of quality within a dynamic business.
  • Experience with product release and regulatory affairs will also be useful
