Are you a construction solicitor interested in working for one of the UK's leading construction and infrastructure teams? Hunter Savage is currently partnering with this leading global law firm to recruit an associate solicitor into their highly regarded construction team and based in Manchester.

The role would suit a qualified solicitor with 3 + years PQE.

The Client


Our client is a leading global law firm, their construction and infrastructure team is highly regarded as a leading construction practice who operate as a UK wide practice dealing with some of the largest construction and infrastructure projects in the UK with an exciting client base.

The team has also been involved in some leading international arbitration matters. The team is growing and is led by an impressive team of some of the UK's top construction partners.

The firm has a very proactive approach to career development and there is a clear and transparent career path for solicitors joining the firm.


The Role


This role is a blended construction role with a mixture of contentious and non-contentious with about three quarters of your time being focused on the transactional side.

Working with a leading client base of leading UK developer clients, retail clients, public sector bodies etc you will advise clients and draft a range of specialist construction and engineering contracts and also work on a range of construction disputes to include adjudications, arbitrations and high court work.


The Person

  • Qualified Solicitor
  • England & Wales 3 + years PQE
  • Previous experience of working in a construction practice for a leading firm you can either have a contentious or noncontentious background or blended experience
  • Experience of construction disputes with some previous experience of ADR techniques
  • Strong legal drafting skills it would be ideal you will have experience of drafting a construction contract i.e. NEC/JCT etc
  • Excellent negotiation skills and client management skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
