A client of mine who manages a large portfolio of Social housing Accommodation is looking to recruit a Contract Voids Surveyor for an initial 8 weeks.

This contract may extend.

The Voids Surveyor oversees a range of repair and maintenance projects within the repairs team.


Work with the Assistant Director of Repairs, Strategic Head of Housing Repairs and/or any other delegated manager to implement and develop effective systems to regularly inspect the external and communal parts of property, to identify any requirements for reactive repairs and cyclical maintenance, and to ensure the works required are carried out or programmed according to urgency and priority.


Responsibilities include:

Managing disrepair, refurbishment, void, complex, day-to-day, damp, and mould works, along with pre/mid/post inspections.

Investigating and addressing structural issues, conducting necessary testing, and recommending costs for remedial or safety works.

Facilitating seamless collaboration between service providers for efficient resolution of complex repair issues.

Providing expert advice and guidance on all related activities.

Procuring repair works through tendering or competitive quoting, overseeing consultants, and supervising works on-site.

Ensuring compliance with statutory and health and safety requirements.

Overseeing timely and budget-compliant delivery of various repair and maintenance projects across the council's housing portfolio.


This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the council's housing services' reputation and involves managing repair and maintenance requirements for approximately 17,000 homes, including building structures, internal and communal areas, and estate grounds.


Qualifications

  • Must have minimum 1 year voids experience, Must have own transport, must be familiar with NHF Schedule of rates.

Salary:
£250.00-£275.00 per day
