Description
At Tell Studio we produce films that tell positive stories, with people at the core.

Our films have been used to head up national awards shows, break down new innovations, demo groundbreaking technologies and give a platform to incredible people doing incredible things.

We're doing that not only for branded content in the corporate world, but also in the more popular media world through important projects that we as a team individually seek out to produce, like our independent documentary Cut Short which covers knife crime and its impact on young people.

Although corporate is our bread and butter, we're on Channel 4's list of indie production companies and we're registered production suppliers for the BBC, and we're in frequent communication with both with original commission and content ideas.

We're also in close contact with the BFI and Screen Yorkshire having worked on short films and creative productions, so you'll regularly meet directors and producers who come to visit and may end up touching the occasional deliverable in that context alongside the regular work.

We're looking to increase our team with an in-house editor who's able to take footage that's fresh from client shoots and turn it into content that's emotionally impactful and visually impressive.

We need someone who's naturally methodical and organised - not only do you know how to tell a story through the edit but you'll also be mindful of how you set up your project and simplify routine processes.

In between projects we like to be proactive and seek out opportunities, which means the whole team coming together to make quick, creative pieces to catch the attention of organisations and brands whose stories we'd love to tell.

As our editor, you'll very much be a part of that process.

Tell Studio operates from a cosy studio unit in the centre of Leeds. It's a collaborative, open-plan space where creatives, clients and friends pop in to say hi.

As lovers of good film and good art, we love craftsmanship and are always looking to build on our skills with new techniques and ideas.

As a result, we have a really healthy skill-sharing culture, and making mistakes is always judgement-free - it's okay to not know things What's important to us is that you enjoy the creative process.

If working with lovely clients on impactful projects whilst building your own skills in a relaxed environment sounds like a bit of you, please get in touch with a CV, cover letter and some of your work.

This role would suit someone who's had some prior editing experience in agency or creative environments, but is still fairly early career and looking to have more responsibility across the start to finish edit process.
