The Job
The Diversity Business Partner (DBP) will lead on operationalizing DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) efforts in the region.

Reporting to the Regional DEI Lead, the DBP will be responsible for partnering with local Business Units across the organisation to activate the delivery of the DEI strategy and will partner with the global DE&I (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) team to interpret activity at a local level as needed.


The DBP will work in partnership with the Global DEI team, Creative Council team and local P&C (People & Culture) colleagues to embed a systems change approach to DEI at WBD (Warner Bros Discovery) with a focus on recruitment, retention, progression, performance management, leadership development and employee engagement.

This role will partner closely with all areas of the business, specifically with the Global DE&I community, People and Culture Partners, Business Leaders, Business Resource Groups, Communications and Legal.


The Daily

  • Work with the Regional DEI leader to design and implement the DEI approach for the region in accordance with direction set by the Business and Creative Councils.
  • Collaborate with the People and culture team to ensure effective DEI practices are embedded into every phase of the talent and development lifecycles, to support the development of diverse talent.
  • Provide data/input/leader coaching into any regional DEI steerco/Council structures including preparing DEI data for QBRs (quarterly business reviews)
  • Lead on activating DEI programmatic efforts identified by Global/Regional leads to build leadership capability and advance talent within local budget recommendations (i.e., mentoring/coaching/sponsorship programs, inclusive leadership program, Fellow's program etc.)
  • Manage DEI team input for local regulatory requirements (e.g., pay gaps) and creation of country market plans.
  • Provide Strategic counsel to local Business Resource Groups (BRGs) to enable them to operate successfully in alignment with the WBD DEI vision.
  • Enhance local initiatives to support recruitment, retention and development of underrepresented talent through active research, development of initiatives and benchmarking with partner teams.
  • Partner with our Creative Council/Global Creative DEI Team to advise/guide on inclusive content for regional productions, gaming and emerging platforms.
  • Contribute to the creation of thought leadership and create a body of centralised resources for use across our workforce and creative efforts.

The Essentials

  • Experience of working in an international DEI function for a global company with the ability to navigate a matrixed organisation that is complex, nuanced and disparate.
  • Experience delivering employee/industry facing programs and trainings from review to launch
  • Ability to establish key metrics to assess and measure results of DEI initiatives as well as progress against key commitments and the broader DEI strategy.
  • Willingness to continue learning to ensure understanding of current DEI needs in the sector.
  • Natural, cross border collaborator with the ability to Strategic lens and execution capabilities.
