Our client is a Blackpool based FY4 primary who are part of the ZEST academy alliance, their site is a beautiful Victorian school building who are fortunate to deliver a 21st Century education through our exciting, inspirational, global curriculum which focuses on four world issues; Culture, Conflict, Conservation and Communication.
Their site can cater for over 600 pupils and is known for its inclusive provisions, supporting their 40% SEN/D population.
They are a school with high standards of education, safety, social awareness and endeavour to raise pupils who give back to the community.
They are currently seeking a 1:1 TA to support Monday - Friday term time (8:30-3:30) to work with a Year 2 child who has spina bifida (term time).
We are ideally looking for someone with prior SEND or experience of 1:1 support with an understanding of working with children.
This role is expected to run from January April 2024 with review for the summer term.Responsibilities:
- Preparation of resources and activities for 1:1 support
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to organise appropriate activities and provide feedback on pupil progress
- Liaise with various staff including Teachers, TA's, specialist support staff
- Review and support EHCP's or care plan
- Work closely with other LSA's and support staff
- Working with classes, small groups and with children on a 1:1 basis
- Monitor and track the development of pupils, supporting their personal development and confidence.
- Experience of working with young people.
- Experience working with young people on a 1:1 basis
- Experience working with SEN or knowledge of learning difficulties
- Be comfortable and confident in managing challenging behaviours
- Good Class management skills.
- TA Qualified or working towards this.
