*PAID BREAKS**FRIENDLY WORKING ENVIRONMENT**12, 24, 36, or 48 hour contracts*Abbey Wood Park is a Residential and Nursing facility located within Aintree Hospital in Liverpool. We are looking for talented individuals who are ready for supporting the elderly by providing excellent care within a safe environment.

The main duties will include:

Assist Residents in all aspects of their care needs (e.g. physical, emotional), providing attention when needed, whilst ensuring Residents retain their comfort and dignity.
Assisting Residents who have limited mobility, or physical/learning difficulties, making the best use of aids provided, to ensure that they safely achieve their personal goals.
Closely monitor Residents who may be confused and / or who may demonstrate behavior that challenges to ensure the safety and welfare of themselves and others.
Assist in the delivery of care for Residents who are under Palliative Care or with a progressive illness to ensure a dignified End of Life.
Ensure privacy and dignity is maintained for the dying and the bereaved, in line with the Company's policies and procedures.
Answer Nurse 'Call System', providing and / or obtaining assistance as required.
Make and change beds and ensure that rooms are clean and tidy, and any bedroom equipment is kept clean to ensure a homely environment for the Resident.
Answer the door and telephone appropriately, respond accordingly, and pass on messages promptly to ensure a high standard of customer care.
Ensure the Care Home's resources are used appropriately to minimise waste and reduce risk.
Accurately document care given and report concerns as necessary
Experience with people with advanced dementia and EMI.

Health & Safety:

Report immediately to the Home Manager, or Person in Charge, any illness of an infectious nature or accident incurred by a Resident, Colleague, self or another.
Understand and ensure the implementation of the Care Home's Health and Safety policy, and Emergency and Fire procedures.

Salary:
£10.50 per hour
