The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be responsible for predominately sales ledger and bank reconciliations but also, purchase ledger and general finance duties.

You will be working with customers, suppliers and internal departments to ensure the timely and efficient processing of invoices, payments & receipts and daily/weekly/monthly reports.

You will need to have good attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability work to strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • All aspects of Credit Control and maintenance of the Accounts Receivables function/sales ledger. Including liaising with customers and ensuring timely remittances in line with customer credit terms, cash allocation, prompt resolution of queries, checking and raising credits, reconciling customer accounts etc
  • Daily processing of prior day sales and trade shop sales invoice including associated balancing of cash and card transactions
  • Raising monthly consolidated invoices to customers
  • Loading daily invoices and credits onto customer portals
  • Daily posting of cash and bank reconciliations
  • Running month end reports for sales and purchase ledger and assisting in the month end closing
  • Daily updating and monitoring of analysis spreadsheets and logs.


As our Senior Accounts Assistant, you will be expected to oversee and provide cover for the purchase ledger including processing of invoices, reconciling statements, preparation of the supplier payment run and ensure deadlines are met.

Your skills
SAP experience desired, but not essential

£27,000.00 per year
