We have an exciting opportunity for a Triage Independent Victims Advocate to join the Children and Young People team in London, working 37.5 hours a week.

Position: 4713 Triage IVA- Children and Young People

Location:
London, Earls Court/Hybrid

Hours:
Full time, 37.5. Monday - Friday core hours 9am-5pm, with some weekend and early evening work where required.

Salary:
£ per annum, plus London Weighting Allowance £2,800 per annum and travel expenses

Contract:
Permanent

The Role

The Triage IVA- Children and Young People role is based in the Earl's Court office in London with the opportunity for hybrid working.

This position delivers a telephone-based service.

As a Triage Independent Victim Advocate you will be:

Delivering high-quality, holistic, initial support by telephone to young victims & witnesses of crime.
Completing initial needs & risk assessments that comprehensively provide immediate & shortterm intervention over the telephone.
Referring clients as appropriate if longer term support is required.
Providing initial practical & emotional support over the telephone

About You

You will need:

To be approachable, flexible and caring.
To be a skilled communicator over the telephone, able to show empathy and understanding.
To be tenacious in support of your clients, helping to resolve problems and issues posed by the criminal justice system.
To ensure that all services are delivered within a strong safeguarding framework in line with equality and diversity requirements.
The ability to use data capture systems to ensure appropriate data is gathered to deliver timely and accurate reports as required.
