Description

The Rugby Free Church Homes for the Aged is looking for a compassionate, reliable, caring individual to help with our assisted living facility.

The Assistant is responsible for assisting residents with all their daily needs and providing support to the team in a friendly and caring manner.


Duties include but are not limited to:

Assisting residents with their medication

  • Maintaining a pleasant and caring environment for residents in their unit
  • Providing assistance to residents in taking their meds
  • Assisting with meal preparation
  • Assisting with housekeeping tasks within the resident care area
  • Maintaining a positive attitude and working as a team with all staff members
  • Reporting any concerns or issues that may arise. This includes resident concerns, safety issues, maintenance issues, etc.

Experience:


Assisted living experience preferred but not required.

  • Prior experience working with older adults preferred.
  • Experience in a geriatric healthcare setting preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Must be able to work independently and demonstrate flexibility in shifts that change frequently during the year.

Salary:
£11.08-£12.19 per hour


Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus scheme

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Rugby: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:


  • Care home: 1 year (preferred)
  • Home care: 1 year (preferred)

Language:


  • English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
