Description

The role will involve providing clerical assistance, creating rotas and coordinating leave for the Consultants, Specialist Registrars and Trainees in the Surgery division.

Full training on the hospital computer systems will be provided.

To plan, formulate and co-ordinate all rotas within the Surgery Admin

Effective communication skills needed.

Sensitive to personal details and timeliness of dealing with communication issues.

Able to develop mutually respectful relationships with medical and management teams.


Populate and develop the Junior Doctor/Surgery staffing rotas in line with the master template and to co-ordinate any changes to these rotas.

To co-ordinate all Junior Doctors requests for leave in accordance with local guidelines

Regularly check planned activities and wards are suitably staffed and organise cover, reschedule or escalate where needed.

Working knowledge of locum booking process.

To be computer literate and have knowledge of excel.
