Salary:
£80,000 - £85,000 plus generous share options and excellent benefits


Reporting Line:
Head of Engineering & Architecture


What the role will involve:

You will work collaboratively with the Head of Engineering & Architecture, key internal stakeholders on a variety of interesting tasks:
Architecting, designing, and implementing a new, secure Azure environment (landing zone), which will enable my client to host its IT infrastructure and data in a secure, scalable, reliable, resilient, well-governed and compliant environment

Support my client in the Migration of their existing Azure infrastructure from the current, legacy Azure environment to the new Azure environment

Defining the organisations Data's Azure infrastructure & security BAU operations/procedures and implementing them in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders


Working collaboratively with the Head of Engineering & Architecture, external consultancies and internal stakeholders on any future Azure architecture reviews, re-architectures and incremental improvements to ensure that the Azure architecture always remainsscalable, reliable, resilient and well-governed.


Essential skills and experience


Proven experience architecting, designing, and implementing secure Azure environments (landing zones), Azure infrastructure (IaaS) and cloud-native Azure services (PaaS) for major enterprise projects.

Significant experience of designing, implementing, configuring, maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting

Experienced in working with Virtualisation technologies, for example:
Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)

Azure Virtual Machine (VM)

Azure Remote Desktop Services (RDP)

Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)

VMWare

Implementing and maintaining secure data exchange mechanisms

(e.g., SFTP) & data encryption

Maintaining & renewing security certificates

Knowledge of using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) technologies to provision cloud IT infrastructure

Experience of writing High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents

Experience of participating in Technical Governance forums (e.g., Technical Design Authority - TDA)

Confidence in planning, testing, and executing IT infrastructure migration projects

Resolving security vulnerabilities flagged by security audits, security scanners and SOC teams

Skills to communicate and present complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in a written form
