Description

CSR Construction have been nominated to source and select a Buyer for an engineering organisation in Co. Antrim.

This successful Buyer will be joining an team to assist in ensuring that relevant direct and indirect materials and services are purchased at the most competitive price consistent with the required quality and provide general company wide purchasing assistance as necessary.

Responsibilities:

To support the Purchasing Manager in all aspects of the Purchasing function
To ensure that specified procedures are followed and that appropriate accurate records are maintained
To continually seek opportunities for cost reduction and improvements in purchasing procedures in line with company's strategic growth plans
To purchase mild steel, stainless steel and other products related to the architectural metalwork industry i.e. small power tools and associated steel fabrication consumables
To develop strong supplier partnerships that yield products that meet the company quality requirements as well as production delivery schedules and cost
To liaise with the Design, Production and Site Teams to obtain and communicate timely information relevant to delivery times and pertinent to the products required
To attend production meetings when required
To carry out any other duties as required by Management

The Person:

A self motivated individual who possesses excellent communication skills and the ability to work to challenging deadlines under pressure
An individual who will represent the best interests of the company at all times in a professional and positive manner
Must set an example on behaviour, attendance, safety, fairness etc.
Must provide an environment where their team will be encouraged to become involved, accept responsibility and perform to the required standards
To prioritise work and use own initiative
To manage and continually improve own performance
