Are you looking for an opportunity to combine your interest in working with schools with a chance to develop your organisational and problem-solving skills?

Young Londoners' Archive is a new Arts Council England funded, three-year initiative to capture, for the first time at the museum, a snapshot of the lives of London's children.

Through projects with primary and secondary schools in every London borough exploring pupils' relationship with their city, it will collect video histories, objects, photographs and other material to enable us to represent the diverse lived experiences of children in future displays and programmes.

The Learning Coordinator will support the small Young Londoners' Archive project team.

They will lead on the operational logistics and liaison with participating schools, support consultation with pupils and teachers, and work as part of a team alongside other Coordinators in the Learning & Engagement department.

We are looking for someone who is highly organised with strong prioritisation and problem-solving skills.

Museum experience isn't required, but you'll need some experience of working as part of teams responsible for running activities for schools, eg in a heritage, arts, education or community setting.

To find out more about this role, we are offering a series of 20 minute one-to-one online information sessions about the role.

These sessions will happen on the following dates:
Monday 24 July
Thursday 3 August
Friday 11 August
Tuesday 15 August

Please note:

in your cover letter please make sure you include examples of how your skills, experience and knowledge match those in the person specification.

Each person specification criterion is given a number - we recommend using these numbers to order your cover letter and clearly state your examples for each criteria.

You can either write a short paragraph for each criterion, or use bullet points with full sentences.
