get found online. We have an exciting opportunity for a SEO Specialist to join our expanding team.


Position Overview


The role of SEO Specialist is to improve our client's online presence and organic search rankings by identifying, creating and implementing effective SEO strategies.

To carry out SEO Audits and technical analysis of client sites and propose strategies to resolve the current issues and implement changes to improve the value of their sites.


Role responsibilities include:

  • Creation of SEO strategies to provide our clients with the best results possible
  • Implementation of SEO strategies in line with client brief and objectives
  • Undertake SEO audits and technical analysis of prospective and existing client sites, including analysing rankings, and make recommendations for improvement
  • Identifying new opportunities to improve client's local SEO and creation of local SEO pages to drive traffic to client's site
  • Undertaking regular crawls of client sites and identifying, investigating and resolving issues
  • Create gap analysis reports
  • Creation and management of client website migration plans


  • Link building

  • Identifying areas for outreach, checking links and developing link strategy
  • Manage keyword research, build site structures and keywords segmentation
  • Carry out competitor research and analysis
  • Manage multiple client projects simultaneously while ensuring deadlines are met and client brand guidelines are adhered to
  • Build and develop client relationships, ensuring that excellent customer service is delivered at all times
  • Assist with the preparation of report data and reports
  • Assist with the preparation of proposals, presentation material, content and presenting
  • Keep up to date with search engine algorithm changes, developments in search and sharing this knowledge with the SEO team where applicable
  • Provide training and mentoring for SEO Specialists and Digital Marketing Assistants
  • Check over work carried out by SEO Specialists and Digital Marketing Assistants
  • Provide cover for SEO Specialists
  • Provide support to the SEO Strategist and Head of SEO
  • Any other duty that may be required in line with the business needs

Key skills, experience and attributes

  • Worked in an SEO position for at least 2 years, preferably within an agency
  • Excellent working knowledge of SEO tools, e.g., Google Search Console, Google Analytics,Screaming Frog, SEMrush, MOZ and Ahrefs
  • Good understanding of written and spoken English
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Highly organised and the ability to multitask and prioritse
  • Ability to deliver a high level of customer service
  • Good level of Microsoft skills (Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent level of attention to detail
  • Be forward thinking
  • Be solutions oriented
  • Be proactive with a can do approach to work
  • Eagerness to learn, develop and progress within the role and the agency
  • Have the curiosity to explore new approaches to challenges
  • Competent knowledge and familiarity with all social media channels and platforms
  • Understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods and how SEO affects the success of digital content
  • Analytical skills which will help to provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve ROI for clients
  • Commercial understanding and mindset

Education:


  • Bachelor's or equivalent (preferred)
  • 2 years experience in an SEO or relevant role

Place of work:

The role of SEO Specialist is an office based role, with the possibility of also working from home. The role is for 37.5hours a week, with working hours between 8.00am and 5.00pm with an hour for lunch. Exact hours of work will be agreed before commencement.


Holiday allowance: 25 days plus bank holidays, increasing to 30 days plus Bank Holidays with length of service


Salary:
£25,000.00 to £30,000.00 per annum depending on experience and skill level.


Salary:
