We're delighted to be working with a luxury care home in Buckinghamshire seeking an Activities Manager to join their team.
This is a Monday - Friday position where you will lead the activities team to provide exciting, stimulating, meaningful activities and opportunities for residents.
We are seeking a creative and innovative individual who has a great sense of fun and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with the care home residents.
As well as the planning of daily activities, you will also organise and budget for largerscale events to celebrate a variation of cultures and occasions throughout the year, both within the home and local community.
Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and with different audiences in a friendly, warm and professional manner
- Natural creative and innovative skill and mindset
- A great sense of humour and fun
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including IT skills.
- Strong leadership skills
- A flexible approach to working hours.
- Previous experience within a care home environment working within a similar role is highly desirable
Duties include:
- To organise and coordinate events, activities of daily living, celebrations and social time that promotes residents independence, health and wellbeing.
- To organise and facilitate open day events that promote the home
- To lead the development of relationships and links with local community individuals, groups and links, effectively maintaining these relationships
- To lead and manage a team of events assistants effectively
Contract, Remuneration and benefits:
- £27,000pa
- 40hrs per week
- Monday
- Friday (some flexible working required)
