The role is to provide PA and administrative services to the Director of Informatics, the Associate Director of Technology Delivery and the wider Directorate.

This role will represent the Directorate in a professional manner during contact with visitors, other directorates within the Trust and external organisations.

The role is to provide back-fill for the current Personal Assistant to the Director of Informatics and the Associate Director of Technology Delivery.


We are looking for a professional, enthusiastic and motivated Personal Assistant to provide high-quality support to the Director of Informatics and the Associate Director of Informatics, Technology Delivery.

The successful individual will have knowledge of a range of secretarial and administrative procedures with experience of providing executive-level diary management.


The individual will have the flexibility to deal with a range of non-routine tasks and ability to organise and prioritise their time to manage a varied and diverse workload.

Excellent interpersonal, oral, numerical and written communication skills are essential to this role.

  • Provide a confidential PA support to the Director of Informatics and Associate Director of Technology Delivery. To provide cover for team members as and when required.
  • Act as first point of contact for the Informatics Department.
  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Informatics, Associate Director and the Informatics Senior Management Team including monitoring of the position with Datix issues, production of Datix Risk reports, monitoring of training, sickness and absence.

This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term contract basis for the maximum period of 12 months.

Where there is potential, the secondment/fixed term contract may finish early, or in the first instance, the secondment/fixed term contract may be extended due to the internal/external secondment of the substantive post holder.

The fixed term contract status of the post holder will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust's legal obligations regarding fixed term contracts and secondments in relation to the substantive post holder.

Please also note any secondment must first be agreed with your current line manager.
