RPS are seeking a Project Supervisor to supervise and assist a team of drainage surveyors in tracing pollution as part of the Polluted Water Outfalls project for Thames Water.

The salary is c£30k plus extensive benefits package. This role covers Greater London/M25 corridor.

A company van, fuel card and smart phone will also be provided for work use, and no overtime or weekend working will be required.

What you'll be doing


This role will focus on identifying sources of pollution found in local rivers and water courses via the public surface drainage network using various techniques including lift and look sewer tracing, CCTV surveying, residential and commercial surveying and using drain tracing dye.

We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to assist the Project Manager in ensuring site crews are well co-ordinated and motivated to achieve our objectives and meet client KPI's.


Who we're looking for?

  • A drainage industry background is essential with at least 5 years' experience
  • Extensive supervisory/management experience
  • Ability to decipher drainage and sewer mapping
  • Drain tracing and dye testing experience (CCTV Drainage surveying experience advantageous)
  • Must be willing to travel throughout the Greater London region to carry out site visits, sitebased workplace inspections and progress meetings
  • Ability to produce basic reports using MS office suite
  • Physically able to lift heavy inspection chamber covers and basic tools
  • Happy to work alone as well as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence
