- Understanding the different types of corporate action event and their nuances.
- Understanding Morgan Stanley's accounting structure.
- Validate events details and send notification to clients
- Ensure client elections received are submitted correctly to our agent banks
- Client management providing first class service to stakeholders across the Trading desks, Prime
- Brokerage, Other Operations teams and Finance.
- Developing a strong and trusting relationship with stakeholders.
- Driving process and technology enhancements to deliver increased STP rates and elimination of root cause within the front to back process
- Developing relationships with all of our agent banks, registrars, and exchanges.
- Providing input into new service level agreements.
Another essential component of the role is dealing with ad hoc requests from a variety of different Business Units across Morgan Stanley, e.g.
You will use a combination of industry tools (e.g. Euclid, Webmax and SWIFT) and market leading proprietary systems (e.g. Scorpio and ASRV) in daily work.
This is a dynamic team operating in fast paced environment where attention to detail and risk awareness is critical along with a need to be able to analyse a changing situation quickly and to make well informed decisions under pressure.
The ability to develop strong and trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders is critical to success in this role.
QUALIFICATIONS
- What we're looking for:
- Experience of EMEA Voluntary Corporate Actions at Team leader level
- Proven management experience. Skills in delegation, organisation and people management to ensure the team can work effectively
- Proven ability to escalate effectively
- Can work well under pressure, lending control and order to a difficult or pressurised situation
- Can deal easily with multiple issues and tasks
- Strong Communication skills
- High regard for attention to detail, accuracy & quality
- Approaches all situations with positive outlook, energy and enthusiasm. Is a selfstarter who takes individual ownership for work quality and improvement. Leads by examples working with drive and determination
- Shows initiative and creativity, taking a longterm approach to improvement and resolution of issues
- Is selfconfident, demonstrates integrity and businessappropriate behaviour
- Ability to question a process and promote own ideas and solution
- Strong organizational skills, to be able to use time well and prioritise tasks effectively
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Knowledge of settlement rules of EMEA markets
- Knowledge of corporate actions
