Reed Education Reading are currently working in partnership with a brand-new special school in Reading to recruit for a School Business Manager to join in Easter 2023.

The School

Part of a multiacademy trust who are an innovative provider of education and care for children, young people and adults with special educational needs and disabilities.
As part of their growth strategy, they are pleased to be opening a brandnew school for Autumn 2023 in Reading with a proposed capacity of 55 students.
This school will be providing a specialist learning environment for students aged between years old with Autism and Severe learning difficulties and the associated communication and behavioural difficulties.
The school will include a full therapy team to ensure we can offer the best support to our students.
Located in a 6 1⁄2 acre rural location surrounded by ancient woodland but close to transport links.

We're looking for a School Business Manager to join them at Easter 2023 or as soon as possible after this to take the lead in the creation, opening and running this new school.

The Role

The School Business Manager is part of the Senior Leadership Team with responsibility for the leadership, management supervision and development of the support services teams ensuring an efficient, safe, healthy, clean, attractive and comfortable environmentis provided within budget and business aims and objectives.
There is an expectation of the post holder to act with a high degree of autonomy including responsibility and accountability for managing delegated budgets and resources.
The role also involves creating, implementing, monitoring and evaluating development plans aimed at bringing about continual improvement in these areas.
