An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Environment Safety and Health (ESH) team at Sulzer for a 12 month period as an Environment, Safety and Health Advisor.

The role will be to provide advice and mentoring to our teams whilst driving continual improvement.

This role will provide an excellent experience to drive culture change and embed our Health and Safety Management system.

Excited by a challenging and fast paced environment? You will cover our Birmingham and Ipswich Service Centres, delivering the best to ensure optimum changes for maximum compliance and health and safety.

In this role you will be accountable for:

Provision of ESH support and advice for our Birmingham Service Centre with outreach assistance for our Ipswich Service Centre
Embedding the integrated management system (ISO14001 & 45001)
Ensuring Safe Systems of Work are developed and implemented
Risk management support/advice
Provision of general ESH advice
Investigating of accidents, incidents and work related, health related and complaints
Liaise with external enforcing authorities
Management of local Business Continuity
Crisis Response and other ESH Emergency arrangements.
Ensuring compliance with requirements of environmental permits and licenses
Supporting closure of site actions from audits
HSE Reporting
Running of site HSE meetings

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Proven ESH experience in a similar role
Hold a NEBOSH National General Diploma
Membership of either IQA/IEMA/IOSH would be advantageous
Experience of contractor management
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
Excellent communicator
Ability to work autonomously as well part of a wider team
Solution oriented and results focused
Ability to develop oneself and others
